Shelby County Recycling Center Educational Tour

This trip could be the perfect book end to a unit study on conservation, waste, and being good stewards of this beautiful Earth.

Join Summit as we're invited in to tour the Shelby County Recycling center and learn about the ways our waste, consumption, and recycling have an impact on our every day lives!
We will learn what can and cannot be recycled in Shelby County, specifically, followed by a tour of where all those items are received and stored.
We'll also learn about document shredding and  the food waste program along with a tour of the area used for receiving food waste and the compost made from it!

Plus, what kiddo doesn't love machinery and looking for the recycling truck?
